Espada, Madeira’s Scabbard Fish
This fish is a wonderful white fish and served steaked, often lightly battered and fried along with local bananas similarly cooked. A true taste of fresh fish found only in the deep waters off Madeira and works well with a Verdelho or Rainwater Madeira wine.
