East India Madeira wine by Justino’s is a reminder of how Madeira wines were once shipped half-way round the world (and back) as Vinho da Roda to mature into the style of Madeira wines we know today. The heating of the wines in barrels or the gentle movement of the wines by the seas were considered to be the cause of the process known as Madeiraisation.
Today we know it was the heat not the ship rolling on the seas.
